Sissi Farassat moved in 1978 to Vienna, where she attended the International Summer Academy directed by Nan Goldin. She started working as a photographer in 1991. She has participated in several solo and collective exhibitions and her works can be found in both private and public collections, among these latter are the Fotomuseum Winterthur, Museum für Gestallung Zürich, MAK – Museum für Angewande Kunst of Vienna, Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten and the Essi Collection in Vienna. She lives and works in Vienna.
