Faig Ahmed (Baku, 1982) vive e lavora a Baku, in Azerbaijan e si è laureato presso il dipartimento di scultura dell' Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Art nel 2004.

Ha rappresentato l'Azerbaijan nel padiglione inaugurale della nazione alla Biennale di Venezia nel 2007 e ha partecipato allo spettacolo "Love Me, Love Me Not”

nel 2013.

Ahmed ha esposto le sue opere in tutto il mondo tra cui mostre collettive e personali a New York, Parigi, Londra, Berlino, Dubai, Mosca e gli Emirati Arabi Uniti.

Nel 2013, l'artista è stato nominato per il Jameel Prize 3 al Victoria and Albert Museum di Londra.

Le sue opere sono in collezioni pubbliche tra cui Los Angeles County Museum e Seattle Art Museum, e in collezioni private come West Collection, Philadelphia, la collezione di Beth Rudin DeWoody, New York City, Collezione Galila, Bruxelles, collezione Ranza, Roma, Fondazione Jameel , Londra e HHSh Zayed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Emirati Arabi Uniti. Nel 2016, le opere di Ahmed sono state e saranno esposte in diversi musei che amano il mondo, tra cui Museum of Fine Art di Boston, Bellevue Art Museum, St. Louis Art Museum, Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, Macro Roma, Maas Sydney, Moca Cleveland e Musèe de Clermont Ferrand.

 

 

Faig Ahmed (Baku, 1982) lives and works in Baku, Azerbaijan and graduated from the sculpture department of Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Art in 2004.

He represented Azerbaijan at the nation’s inaugural pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2007 and participated in the show “Love Me, Love Me Not” in 2013.
Ahmed has exhibited his works worldwide including group and solo exhibitions in New York, Paris, London, Berlin, Dubai, Moscow and the UAE.
In 2013, the artist was nominated for the Jameel Prize 3 at Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
His works are in public collections including Los Angeles County Museum and Seattle Art Museum, and in private collections such as West Collection, Philadelphia, the collection of Beth Rudin DeWoody, New York City, Galila’s Collection, Brussels, Ranza collection, Rome, Jameel Foundation, London and H.H.Sh Zayed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, UAE. In 2016, Ahmed’s works has been and will be exhibited in several museums all lover the world, including Museum of Fine Art Boston, Bellevue Art Museum, St. Louis Art Museum, Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, Macro Rome, Maas Sydney, Moca Cleveland and Musèe de Clermont Ferrand.
