Benjamin Degen | Brooklyn, 1976

 

 

Del 1997 la Fellowship alla Yale Norfolk Painting. Nel 1998 ha ottenuto il BFA presso Cooper Union in Science and Art. Ha Insegnato pittura e disegno presso la Cooper Union di New York City ed è stato visiting artist alla Rhode Island School of Design, al Maryland Institute of Contemporary Art, al Brooklyn College e alla Yale University School of Art Norfolk program.

Tra le sue mostre personali si evidenziano: Susan Inglett Gallery, Guild and Greyshkul Gallery e Museum 52, New York City; Kantor Feuer Gallery, Los Angeles; Medium Gallery, St. Barthelemy (Antille francesi). Numerose le collettive negli Stati Uniti, in Europa e in Asia. Sue opere sono parte delle collezioni permanenti del MoMA, Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, The Hort Foundation, Judith Rothschild Foundation, UBS Art Collection e Collezione Maramotti.

Vive e lavora a New York.

In 1997 the Fellowship at the Yale Norfolk Painting. He received his BFA in 1998 from Cooper Union. He has taught painting and drawing at The Cooper Union in New York City and has been a visiting artist at Rhode Island School of Design, Maryland Institute of Contemporary Art, Brooklyn College and the Yale University School of Art Norfolk program.

He had solo exhibitions at Susan Inglett Gallery, Guild and Greyshkul Gallery and Museum 52 in New York City as well as Kantor Feuer Gallery in Los Angeles, and Medium Gallery in St. Barthelemy (French West Indies). His work has been featured in group shows in the US, Europe and Asia. His artworks are included in the permanent collections of the MoMA, The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, and The Collezione Maramotti.
