Amina Agueznay è nata a Casablanca (Marocco) nel 1963, vive e lavora a Marrakech. Al suo attivo ha numerose mostre in musei internazionali, come il Musée National de l’Histoire de l’Immigration e l’Institut du Monde Arabe di Parigi, il MACAAL Museum di Marrakech, il Beaux Art Museum di Kereva (Finlandia), il Wereldmuseum di Rotterdam o il Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium di Oslo. Nel 2012 ha partecipato all’Istanbul Design Biennale e nel 2019 alla Rabat Contemporary Art Biennial. Sarà inoltre fra gli artisti della prossima Biennale di Lione a settembre 2022. Nel 2010 ha inoltre ottenuto il prestigioso Mediterranean Fashion Prize.
