Aida Muluneh è una fotografa di fama internazionale, fondatrice dell'Addis Foto Fest. Cresciuta tra Yemen, Inghilterra e Canada, la sua arte utilizza colori vibranti e un potente linguaggio visivo per affrontare temi come disuguaglianza, pregiudizio, ortodossia e colonialismo. Le sue figure affascinanti, che richiamano manufatti e affreschi etiopi, le permettono di denunciare le violazioni dei diritti umani e l'identità femminile africana con uno stile inconfondibile. Nel 2019 è stata la prima donna di origine africana a collaborare all'esposizione organizzata per il Premio Nobel per la Pace. Ha vinto numerosi premi internazionali, tra cui l'European Union Prize all'African Photography Encounters.​

Aida Muluneh is an internationally renowned photographer and founder of the Addis Foto Fest. Having grown up between Yemen, England, and Canada, her art uses vibrant colors and a powerful visual language to address themes such as inequality, prejudice, orthodoxy, and colonialism. Her fascinating figures, which evoke Ethiopian artifacts and frescoes, allow her to denounce human rights violations and African female identity with an unmistakable style. In 2019, she was the first woman of African descent to collaborate on the exhibition organized for the Nobel Peace Prize. She has won numerous international awards, including the European Union Prize at the African Photography Encounters.​
